Trust Everton > Everton First

‘Trust Everton’ is now 'Everton First'

With immediate effect, Community Football Assets Ltd, which has operated under the name ‘Trust Everton’ since it was formed in 2011, will operate under the name ‘Everton First’.

The aims and objectives of the organisation remain the same, namely to explore the feasibility of a supporters’ vehicle providing sustainable long-term funding for football club real-estate assets.

Reflecting the change, its website is now at www.evertonfirst.com and the contact e-mail address is enquiries@evertonfirst.com.

The change was signposted by Tony I’Anson at the start of a Trust Everton organised supporters meeting on 15 November 2014 which subsequently saw the formation of a steering group to explore the formation of a conventional Supporters Direct affiliated supporters’ trust.  To avoid confusion going forwards, Community Football Assets has decided to drop its use of the word ‘trust’, which in a football context has become inherently linked with Supporters Direct affiliated organisations.

Contact information for the supporters’ trust initiative will be provided in due course.

Everton First's Mission

Everton First's mission is to see the future of Everton FC secured for the current and subsequent generations of Evertonians.

The aims and objectives of Everton First are to explore the feasibility of community ownership of the football real-estate assets utilised by Everton FC.

Whether Everton First will realise its aims and objectives will depend on a number of factors.  These include the development of suitable legal and financing structures, implementation of infrastructure to safely source and manage the significant funds required to make the purchase(s), and engagement with the club and its wider supporter base.
