Mikel Arteta

For the second season running, there was no real contest in the vote for Everton Player of the Season, with Mikel Arteta once again proving to be the Blues' most important player.

As the creative lifeblood of an otherwise workman-like midfield, the Spaniard was instrumental in the club achieving an impressive 6th-place finish and qualifying for the Uefa Cup.

The only other player to score a significant share of the votes (36.6.%) was Joleon Lescott who had a spectacular first season at Goodison following his summer move from Wolves.

Lee Carsley, Tim Howard and Andy Johnson in 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively shared roughly 8% of the votes in recognition of their own achievements.
