All things Moyes

By Sean   McKenna  ::  09/08/2011   154 Comments (»Last) I will be honest: I'm not a Moyes fan... I'm not here to completely slaughter him but he is really getting up my nose.

Firstly let's start off with his complete silence during the pre-season ? has Moyes muttered a word this summer? He sends Round out to the interviews hiding in the background with complete contempt towards the fans... why is he doing this? Is this another famous Moyes strop? I don't want to hear from Round (his puppet) ? I want his view as to why we were ran ragged against Villarreal? It's a part of the man's job to face the media and the fans.

The man's body language is shocking; you can see it in his eyes that he has given up. To me, it seems as if he is saying "Well, I can't do too much with this lot... what do fans expect?" ? I expect a team that will fight to the last second, a team that wants to play football the right way. I want a team that has freedom to express themselves, I want a team that entertains at the very least!!

I can remember Pele saying that the rich go to the opera to be entertained and the poorer go to football to be entertained... Football is more than a game ? it's a place us common folk go to forget about all our troubles and to enjoy 90 minutes away from the daily struggles! How right is Pele, I wish he could forward his thoughts to Mr Moyes!!

As a player myself (Sunday League), I often ask myself would I want to play for David Moyes? And the answer is No. To see him at every game shouting out instructions ? it's fucking embarrassing, "Hibbo ? throw the ball to Coleman... Rodders ? track back"... FFS, Moyes, the players know how to take a fucking throw-in!!

The man is a dictator, the players must feel like robots, I mean com'on ? constantly shouting out instructions is something you would see in an Under-9 game from over-protective parents. You can see it in the way the players play, they are all scared to take the ball, shit-scared to get a bollocking from the Master Tactician, Moyes! Shit-scared to lose the defensive shape, that's why we play Zombie Football.

Now I know people will come out and say, "Well, who could do better?" ? Let's get one thing straight here: the man has had 10 years at our great club, he is one of the highest paid managers in the league, we owe him NOTHING!

To be honest, I don't expect us to win much because of the ridiculous spending of other clubs... that's fair enough... But to get beaten by lower league teams in the cup every year is not acceptable; getting hammered 4-, 5-, 6-nil at least once or twice a year is not acceptable; to play shit football is not acceptable.

On closing, I want you to ask yourselves this, and be honest:

Q1, Do you enjoy watching Everton?
Q2, Do you like the constant playing players out of position?
Q3, Do you like it when Moyes plays his favourites instead of our young gifted players?
Q4, Do you think Moyes will ever win anything?

I believe Moyes should've left last year... his fire has gone. It's coming to the stage were i hate watching the team I LOVE, and for that I cant forgive David Moyes.
