If Saha can stay fit...

01/08/2011 |   Comments () :  Add your Comments
Joe Royle believes Everton could be a top five side next season — but only if Louis Saha stays fit. The France striker has been plagued by injuries in recent years and his lack of fitness has seriously hampered the Goodison Park's club to challenge at the top of the Premier League. Former Toffess boss Royle says it's vital he is available to lead the line for the Merseysiders in the coming months.

He told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “If Saha stays fit, Everton could be a top five side. A lot depends on how many games they can get out of him.

“Their problems are mostly up front. Tim Cahill gets his share [of goals] from midfield but, after that, they really struggle for the goals they need to take them to the next level.”
