Shareholders Association: Update

16/08/2011 |   Comments () :  Add your Comments
The Blue Union are planning a leaflet campaign to encourage attendees at tonight's meeting of the Everton Shareholders Association to use their waning influence with the club. They hope to bring back Annual General Meetings open to all Everton Shareholders that were scrapped some years ago when the club felt that agitators were misusing the proxy system. See Update

Follow-Up, 16 August 2011:

Evertonians for Change have posted the following update on the Blue Union initiative to engage with Everton Shareholders Association:

Yesterday Evertonians for Change, The People’s Group and other members of The Blue Union leafleted a Shareholders Association event at Goodison Park as part of continuing campaign to raise awareness as to who The Blue Union are, and what shareholders can do to help Evertonians have their voices heard.

We would like to thank the shareholders who were largely friendly and supportive. Many stopped on receipt of our leaflet to show there support and enquire further about who we are and after discussion they invited John, a member of Evertonians for Change into the event and asked some further questions about who the various groups involved were and what we wanted to achieve. The response was extremely positive and we are hopeful that we will be able to engage further with Shareholders in the future.
