Jagielka and Distin slightly hamstrung

Phil Jagielka has returned to training ahead of Saturday's final friendly against Malaga after being rested with a slight hamstring problem as a precaution for Everton's last two preseason games against Blackpool and AEK Athens. David Moyes said: “Jags had a tight hamstring; Sylvain had a tight hamstring on Sunday so we didn't take any chances with him."

What's the betting Jags hamstring goes playing the meaningless England game?!

Notice how Cole, Rooney, Gerrard all get excused this friendly just before the start of the season — Hodgson arse-licking as usual.

We should withdraw both Jags and Baines from the squad and leave Rodwell as him playing may do him some good.

It's just ridiculous that there is an international programme 3 days before the start of the season.

They should not be allowed to play for England 3 days before the season starts — it's just ridiculous. Who gives a shit about England anyway?
