Tim Cahill seems a likely candidate to replace Thierry Henry as Captain of the New York Red Bulls for the next MLS season after impressing with his leadership qualities on the field and in the locker room during his first five months with the club.

I for one am still interested in what Cahill is up to. I still hope he joins us on loan – if only so we can give him a proper send off for what he did for us. He will always be fondly remembered by me.

As a NYC boy, Red Bull is my team. Delighted Tim becomes Skipper. Henry doesn't want it.

Hopefully, his first act as Captain will be promising bodily harm to the worthless Marquez if he doesn't try harder.
