Everton and Liverpool have right to dream of fourth place

David Prentice asks some probing questions about the battle for 4th place:

Is it simply a case of one side trying to motivate themselves by chasing a distant target, and another trying to ease growing pressure?

Is one side starting to lose momentum while the other is gaining it?

Or is it simply more to do with expectation levels?

Or is it simply the fact that a zero sum amount has been invested in Everton's squad in the last 5 years. Or simply the fact that if Everton were 6 points clear at the top, experience has taught us not to count our chickens. Or simply the fact that every utterance by LFC players is usually seen and spun as positive.

As for Liverpool only having 'a couple of eye-brow raising fixtures' in their remaining games (Chelsea and Spurs) David Prentice, fails to mention the Derby – he must have written our hopes off in that one – Everton have nearly 50% of games which are crucial to the outcome of the CL places.

If David Prentice thinks that Evertonians expectations are lower than the Dark Side's he obviously doesn't read TW.
