Sky pick up Gunners clash

Everton's potentially crucial clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on 16th April will now be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

The game will kick off as originally scheduled at 7:45pm.

The two sides, in sixth and fifth respectively, are separated by just two points at the moment as they challenge for the one Europa League slot still open via League placing and neither has ruled out beating one of Chelsea or Tottenham to fourth place.

Before the two clubs meet next month, Everton must face Stoke and QPR at home and travel to Tottenham, while the Gunners host Reading and Norwich and will face West Brom away.

Keep winning and this could be a very big game.

If we can get 7 points from 3 games before the Arsenal game, this match should be huge for our chances of finishing 5th... or — dare to dream — 4th!

Yes, Phil... which means DM will shit the load and put Phil Neville in midfield for tactical reasons.

[If you couldn't tell, I'm still not over that Wigan defeat.]

I would like to comment on the officials situation. After watching the Prem highlights over this weekend, I can't believe the mistakes made by so-called top refs.

Firstly, the clown at our game: The Mirallas goal should have stood; Fellaini's tackle (he got booked) was perfect; Fellaini being held in the box — surely a penalty; Fellani's handball (should have been a penalty).

Then watching the tackle by the Wigan player that went unpunished (the panel will decide on that one), the ref didn't respond; also, a late handball that won them the game. The Norwich goalie came out of his area and chested the ball down and was shown a red card. By the way, Pienaar was at fault for his cards

The point I am making is: Why aren't refs given cards? They should be punished for bad performances. That dick Probert shouldn't be allowed a Sunday League fixture.

I thought the tackle on the Newcastle player was a great tackle, just a bit mistimed! Newcastle have never had any players make totally disgraceful challenges have they? If you give it out you have to take it as well. Newcastle have got to be the most dislikeable team in the League especially with Pardew and that Carver bloke. Fuck wits.

Tony, spot on. If some of the really bad decisions had gone against the Big 4 plus the RS then they would be replayed every 15 mins on Sky Sports News. The standard of refereeing (and for that matter the linesmen too) is abysmal and stats on another thread show that certain refs give some clubs short change on a regular basis.

If the FA stick to this new made-up rule, they will be leaving themselves wide open for future lawsuits as they have no longer any grasp on reality.

Anyone see the incident last week where Rio Ferdinand whacked Torres on the head from behind then helped him up? Bordering on assault, even though Torres is a twat, but nothing done. The FA are clowns,... you think Bill Kenwright is clueless????

Does anyone know why the home game with West Ham has been moved to Sunday May 12th? It is still scheduled for a 3pm kick off, no mention of it being shown live... I just wondered what the logic is for this???

Re- The McManaman challenge:

Newcastle seem to have very short memories. What about that disgraceful tackle on Anichebe by Nolan in February 2009? Although Nolan got a red card and a 3 game ban, he was back playing again within 2 weeks, while Vic missed the Cup Final and was out for almost a year.

Stick it up your ar$*^+!@ Barcodes!
