Teenager wins first cap in 4-0 win
Phil Jagielka started in Roy Hodgson's starting line-up to face Moldova in this evening's World Cup qualifier at Wembley and Leighton Baines came on after half time to replace Ashley Cole but the headline for Everton was a first cap for Ross Barkley.

The 19 year-old made his debut with an hour gone and the Three Lions 4-0 up and narrowly missed marking the occasion with a goal.

It was the first time that three current Everton players have been on the field for England at the same time since 1988 when Gary Stevens, Trevor Steven and Peter Reid played against Russia at the European Championship Finals in Germany.

Elsewhere, Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy started for the Republic of Ireland but couldn't prevent Sweden running out 2-1 winners in Group D.

Nikica Jelavic, Kevin Mirallas, Romelu Lukaku and Steven Naismith were all named as substitutes for their respective countries. Mirallas came on for the Red Devils against Scotland and notched the second goal to put them 2-0 up while Nikica Jelavic played the last 11 minutes of Croatia's 1-1 draw with Serbia.

Later, Bryan Oviedo and Tim Howard faced off in CONCACAF qualifying in San Jose, with Costa Rica handing the United States a 3-1 defeat that postpones the Americans' qualification for next year's Finals in Brazil.
