Roberto Martinez will pick from the same squad as against Stoke on Wednesday as he prepares for tomorrow's FA Cup Third Round tie with QPR.

Sylvain Distin has been ruled out again with the hamstring strain that kept him out of the New Year's Day draw at the Britannia Stadium, meaning that John Stones and Antolin Alcaraz are likely to be paired with each other again.

Despite going into the Stoke game with just one League start between them, the duo formed an impressive partnership.

Martinez has been forced to blood 19 year-old Stones earlier than hoped due to Phil Jagielka's own hamstring injury but the former Barnsley player has shown impressive composure despite his youth.

His audacious the International Champions Cup penalty against Juventus in San Francisco was a highlight of the Blues' summer tour and he is already being talked of in Evertonian circles as a future England captain.
