Deulofeu is “very happy” at Everton

Gerard Deulofeu has been speaking in glowing terms of Everton and how comfortable he is playing for the Blues this season.

The 19 year-old is back playing after missing a significant chunk of the season in December and January with a hamstring injury and he is keen to be involved against West Ham this Saturday after making two substitute's appearances in the defeats at Tottenham and Chelsea.

“I want to play this Saturday, I want to be able to contribute to the team, to get the three points and move forward with the Club," he told evertonfc.com

“West Ham is a team who have won their last four games and we have had a kind of a dip, so we need to beat them in order to continue to chase the European position that we want.

“We lost three points against Chelsea We are training hard to return to winning ways.”

Naturally, with a decision yet to be made by his parent club, Barcelona, over his immediate future, Deulofeu was coy over the prospect of returning to Goodison for another loan spell next season.

Evertonians are hopeful that the Catalan giants will allow the winger to return next term to make up for the time lost in his development to that six-week period out with injury but Deulofeu says that he is only focused on the here-and-now.

“I just live in the moment,” he continued. “At the present time I am an Everton player and I don't think about where I am going to be next season. It will be wherever God wants it to be, but I am very comfortable here and very happy.“
