McGeady features in Ireland loss

Aiden McGeady played 76 minutes for the Republic of Ireland last night in a 5-1 defeat to Portugal as Cristiano Ronaldo and company played their last warm-up match before the World Cup.

Shane Duffy was an unused substitute due to a slight knock he sustained in training.

James McClean scored what was a consolation goal for the Irish in the second half while Almeida, Keogh (own goal) Vieirinha, and Coentrão scored the goals for the Portuguese.
