Long brace sees U21s past Southampton

Two goals from Chris Long sealed a handsome away win for Everton's U21 side over Southampton last evening.

The game was level after Seagar had cancelled out Conor Grant's emphatic first-half free kick when Long rattled the post.

The striker did find the net twice after that, though — his second laid on by debutant David Henen — to give David Unsworth's side victory.

Everton U21s: Griffiths; Jones, Pennington, Galloway, Kenny; Ledson, Williams (75' Charsley), Grant, Byrne (61' Henen); C Duffus (85' Dyson), Long.

I was under the impression Henen had been loaned to Olympiakos with us with first option to buy next season?

Henen was loaned FROM Olympiakos (not TO).
