Everton Under-18s beat Manchester United 2-0 on Saturday morning to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches. Goals from Kieran Dowell and James Yates secured an impressive victory for the young Blues at Finch Farm.

Dowell's first-half opener came about after he played a neat one-two with Calum Dyson before finishing inside the penalty area. And the victory was wrapped up after the break when Yates collected possession on the right, drove inside and powered a left-footed shot into the corner.

Everton Under-18s: Hewelt; Yates, Robinson (70' Myers), Williams, Thorniley; Bainbridge, Donohue (60' Broadhead), Davies; Dowell (46' Duffus), Dyson, Holland.

Great result, Michael. I noticed Dowell was subbed on 46 minutes, just wondered if it was a injury?

Hope not – I've heard great things of this youngster.

Well done lads!

Hearing great things about Dowell, sounds a like an attacking classy operator that we currently lack depth of in our squad.
