Browning sidelined by knee surgery

Tyias Browning faces a spell out of action as he recovers from keyhole surgery on his injured knee.

The Liverpool Echo report that the 22 year-old went under the knife to repair damage he suffered playing for Everton's U21s last month and will be sidelined for an as-yet undetermined period of recovery.

Roberto Martinez called on Browning on a number of occasions early in the season as the Blues dealt with injuries to the likes of Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines and he acquitted himself well, enhancing his reputation as a possible future full England international.

Bad luck.
Definitely a talent there.

So I guess if we get any further injuries to centre-back, step forward Mason Holgate....

Galloway can step in – we’ve got a promising reserve left back called Leighton Baines.

I really want to see Browning out on loan, and for a full season, we have cover and I think it will be a big bonus for him, and in the future us.

From reports from David Unsworth he has all the attributes to be top class, he just needs to get "battle hardened" and more experience of competetive football, with this lads build he is not going to get knocked about much even in the physical lower divisions.

I wish him all the best on recovery and his future development

With Jags and Oviedo on the sidelines and Leighton just back, the guy will be a loss over the Christmas period. He can play central or right back and showed lots of promise over the past couple of months. Where is our cover at right back?
