Club to reward travelling fans for Manchester debacle

Everton have offered to reimburse fans who have bought a ticket to the forthcoming Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Manchester and also purchased one for the away game at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League that was affected by unusually chronic traffic problems last Wednesday.

Any decision to delay the game to allow supporters stuck in traffic more time to get to the ground was entirely out of Everton's hands but the club have magnanimously pledged to reward those supporters affected who will also travel to the Etihad again to support the Blues on 27th January.

A club statement indicates that more details will be announced next week on how this will be processed.
