A cracking read, Rob, I've been looking forward to this one since you first mentioned it. Reading his own words is illuminating; he comes across as a really confident individual with a work ethic, which may help to explain why he rose so far in the Footballer's Battalion.

Who knows, if he hadn't cocked up those two open goals in the derby, Everton might have kept him on and not made an immediate move for that Dean fella.

He looks bonkers in that photo. What a character, great stuff. How we could do with his like around Goodison today to add some colour to a dismal, grey period of faceless, boring journeymen.
