I've watched 35 minutes so far and not seen Klaasen have a single decent touch. If there's a goal scoring and creating playmaker in there, I'll eat my hat...

He's coming more into game now Mark, as is Ziyech.

This United team is pretty cynical. They know too much by the look of it.

Mourinho is a Roundhead.

Sanchez, the CB, looks very good.

Who do you want to win Colin? I'm torn. A Man Utd victory would be a nice tonic for the city of Manchester after Monday's tragedy, plus if Ajax aren't in Champions League it'll be easier to sign their players if Koeman wants them.

On the other hand, United are boring as, negative and cynical...

It's boys against men this. Not seen anything of note from Ajax.

For sentimental reasons I suppose the Mancs (only due to the recent tragic events) but, from a football perspective? Ajax without a doubt. £14m it's cost to assemble that team.

Oh well, all over now.

I generally support British teams in Europe so Man Utd for me. However, it would be amusing if Utd lost...

Ajax obviously play at a walking pace in their own league. Man Utd are too quick for them.

Klaassen has hardly touched the ball in 60 mins, prefer Barkley any day.

Have to agree with Christy... Klaassen looks lightweight and lacks determination. Not the attacking, dynamic presence I expected. The game is just passing him by. Another Tobias Linderoth on this display. Not too impressed with any of their players apart from Sanchez.

The Ajax team are terrible, some of the players recently linked such as Klaasen and the young forward have not cut the mustard. Koeman is right – the standard of Dutch football does not resemble the quality of the 70s, 80s or 90s.

Agree with you Peter, heaven help us if Koeman signs these two. Klaasen reminds me of Cleverley no thanks.

Klaassen has hardly touched the ball tonight, not a patch on Barkley, who always shows for the ball. Smalling very impressive, and on his way out of Man Utd, would be a great buy.

Davidson Sanchez. Looks like a great prospect.

I just don't rate Klaassen at all. I do wonder who picks these players out and says "yes! he would be perfect for us."
Madness.

Thought both centre backs showed huge potential, liked the right back too. Klaasan no thanks

I wouldn't read too much into that game. It really was men against boys (average age 22) and the Ajax lads froze on the night.

The Ajax team cost £14 or 40m (I couldn't hear properly) to assemble against a team which cost over £400m. So it was a miracle they got so far.

The end of match comments from Herrera give it all perspective.

Wikipedia says that Liverpool have a deal in place to sign Sanchez on July 1st!

I would not be surprised, each and every year the RS are 'out of the blocks' signing players while we fart arse around leaving things till the very last minute, Everton through and through.

Ashley Williams for another couple of years me thinks. Christ.

Talking to a few Liverpool supporters since the game, every one of them said the match and Man Utd were crap.

I said yes what I saw of the game it wasn't a patch on last years final between Seville and Liverpool but you lost that game and United won theirs, you wouldn't have give a toss how you played if you had won last year, and would have gloated at the victory.

Alex Ferguson has a lot to answer for: making thousands of Red fans paranoid – he has been gone three or four years and they still hate every little United success.

I must have been watching a different game. I thought Sanchez was a complete and utter liability.

Sure you weren't watching the cricket Shane? Sanchez was the best player on the pitch.

Not likely Colin although the Irish team do seem to be improving. This is Sanchez the centre-back, who kept giving the ball away?

My views were matched by the commentators and three panel members, hence my complete surprise when I looked in here.

Opinions, eh?
