Seamus Coleman marked his 40th cap with the only goal as the Republic of Ireland overcame Georgia in Dublin.

The Everton fullback, captaining his country again, popped up in the 56th minute to convert a rebound from his own attempted cross to notch the all-important goal.

Meanwhile, Ashley Williams also took up his usual role as skipper for Wales who were unable to hold on to victory against Albania and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
