Help design the new Everton kit

Everton fans have the opportunity to contribute to the design of the new 2017/18 home shirt by deciding on a motif or slogan to go on the back of the famous royal blue jersey.

The Everton Fans' Forum is asking supporters to come up with ideas for possible designs for a key feature of next season's home shirt. Kit manufacturer Umbro has taken the opportunity to hand over the design process for the element that will appear below the neck line on the back of next season's home strip to Blues fans.

Everton's 2015/16 home kit carried the NSNO abbreviation of the Club's Nil Satis Nisi Optimum motto on the back of the shirt (pictured). Supporters now have the opportunity to provide ideas about what should go into the design of this feature to be included in next season's home shirt.

With limited space available, supporters are asked to consider this as a subtle opportunity to make a uniquely ‘Everton' mark on the kit. Long phrases or large designs will not be suitable and supporters are encouraged to think of a short slogan or motif that will work in the space available within Premier League guidelines.

Nice and simple:

1 = 20, Brian Labone.

Nice gesture!

Well, I suppose it's a start for what we have been crying out for over the last few years but why stop at just a motif on the back of the shirt? Why not give us either the chance to design the whole kit or at least let us choose between 2 or 3 ideas that Umbro come up with?

In past years, there have been a few fans with some very good attempts at designing the Everton kit which have been vastly better than what the kit makers have come up with!

Go on, Everton, give us a real crack at the whip!

FOOTBALL LEAGUE FOUNDER MEMBER – 1888

PREMIER LEAGUE FOUNDER MEMBER – 1992

(And I wouldn't be subtle about it either – embroidered in gold letters on the left tit.)

Won the title at Anfield 1890-91. Liver bird on there too, take back what's ours.

I wouldn't be against a blue Liver Bird on our shirt but not at the expense of Rupert's Tower.

IF we get a dockland site, then go to town on it: blue Liver Birds, 1st at Anfield etc. Let all the Chinese and Americans and Norwegians on the cruise ships see us first.

PLEASE let it be the dockside.

Tower on the shirt, bird on the outside of either sock (sure I've seen it before); on The Banks of the Royal Blue Mersey and all that... and why not? We know there's more than one club in this city – let everyone else know too.

Imagine the outcry when a liver bird appears on our kit, then we'll tell em the story. Only the other day, I had to educate someone on our history (we won the league at Anfield before they existed); they were well shocked... hence why I reckon we should incorporate it in our design.

It's our history, we can do what we want – let's ruffle some liver bird feathers!

Ray... it's Everton. Put your brass on Croxteth. But please, when that happens, can we bury the Nil Satis motto and accept that we are second rate?

Sorry, having a bad day.

It's okay, Alan: Only The Average Is Good Enough...

Paul – "Tower on the shirt, bird on the outside of either sock".

Sounds a bit sexist to me.

We have tower on the badge, so it should be white Liver Bird (on blue shirt) on the back of the neck. Nice move from Everton.

if we don't get the dockside stadium, then put a broken heart on the back of the shirt as there is no 'shattered dreams' image.

Or, as Bill is such a showbiz impresario, maybe a clown...

All-blue kit... and the name of the new docks ground... THE ROYAL BLUE MERSEY STADIUM

The words 'Royal' and 'Mersey' would hurt the RS like never before..!!!!

116 seasons of top-flight football.

Or words to that effect, and if my working out is correct also, with next season being the 116th for the blues in the top league.

A proud stat and one no-one will come close to.
