Everton Under-18s made it nine games unbeaten with a 2-0 victory at Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.

Both goals came in the first half as Jack Kiersey and Daniel Bramall both produced superb individual efforts to put the Black Cats to the sword.

And despite the hosts improvement and intent after the break, Kevin Sheedy's young Blues held firm to close the gap on the top four to just a point.

Everton U18s: Renshaw, Morris, Moore, Collins, Lees, Denny, Bramall, Kiersey, Lavery, Hornby, Mampala (74' Ball).
Subs not Used: Pierce, Scully, Duke-McKenna, Kerr.

The season so far at Everton Under-18s

Well done lads. Nathan Broadhead scored two for the Welsh U19s in a 3-2 victory over England to make it a good weekend for the young Blues.
