Great article. It's always exciting to bring in that kind of talent. The cautionary note about his lack of footy nous due to inexperience is not a surprise, but it certainly seems that the kid has his head screwed on and is eager to learn.

Not sure why they talk about him as "little"... yes he's only 5'8", but he outweighs both Kone and Valencia by a good ten pounds. One look and you can see he has spent some serious time in the weight room.

The video impressed anyways, I know all players look good on you tube, but this video just shows him scoring and he seems to be comfortable doing it.

Happy days.

Jason Euell, Charlton U21 Coach talks of "young lads who can play football but then comes the tactical side of it, the game understanding and the decision-making process".

An observation that could be applied to Everton's current first team squad – and not just the younger players.

The video looks good, he has quick feet and a bit of pace, even better, he seems at home shooting with either foot.

Okay, Premier League defenders and keepers will make it harder for him, but really, how many top notch central defenders are there about? I like the look of this kid.

I like this comment by Jason Euell:

"He is just a humble boy who loves his football. He hates being injured and he always wants to do extra work. He just wants the ball at his feet and wants to improve. He's one of those guys who absolutely hates losing."

Never mind the ability he may or may not possess, we need a few more with that kind of mentality. Winners.

Nice article. Interesting video. Can score with both feet and doesn't seem afraid to shoot. Always hard to tell with these young signings but this one does seem unusually promising – perhaps, the fee is another indicator!

Let's hope he can keep up his current goals-per-minute ratio!
