| Wednesday, 03 May 2017  3 Comments  [Jump to last]
The Blues are reportedly interested in adding 16-year-old Lewis Gibson to the youth ranks at Finch Farm as part of Steve Walsh's recruitment drive for young players.

The Liverpool Echo report that Everton are in the mix for the Magpies defender along with Celtic, both Manchester clubs, Arsenal and Southampton.

Gibson is in the England Under-17s party at the European Championships in Croatia at the moment.

It's one thing having potential, it's quite often, another thing in fulfilling it.

How many times have we seen these players linked, and then never heard of again.

Still, there's always the chance, that he could be the next Messi, or whatever.

Or maybe the next Eric Dier or Shkodran Mustafi?

Tomorrow's stars are now playing, they are in their teens or even younger, they just have to be identified. So pleased we are on the ball with scouting in this manner.
