Brozovic would cost Everton up to €25m

| Friday, 16 June 2017  24 Comments  [Jump to last]
Everton have reportedly held talks with Internazionale regarding Croatian midfield star Marcelo Brozovic with one outlet claiming he could leave the Serie A club for between €20m and €25m.

Brozovic's name is one of several being mentioned as possible targets for Steve Walsh who took a delegation to Milan this week to meet with a number of Italian teams.

Brozovic, who joined Inter from Dinamo Zagreb two years ago, has been linked in the past with the likes of Manchester City and is a sought-after player for Premier League sides given his versatility.

Knew all this was too good to be true.

Whole day gone by and we haven't signed anyone.

If we buy all the central midfielders, then no-one else will have a midfield, it's genius!!!

Exactly Phil (2) – Pickford and Klaassen were the gateway drug, now I need another fix!

Is this paper talk or a real enquiry? This guy is seriously good.

Joey (#3) – that was Spurs' old trick.

Brozovic really first impressed me during the Euros – he looks a very talented player. I would obviously prefer Perisic, but Brozovic is exciting and can play wide as well as centrally.

Bravo! Pickford saving a penalty and a point for England Under-21s.

Balde Keita is the only one we should be targeting if we are going for an attacking player from Serie A.

Defensively any Italian defender will do for me.

Still young and has good ball control and vision.

Where's Sandro?

I would lurvve Peresic, Jim (#7) – and if that happened (which it won't) the revolution would be well and truly underway.

BTW, Colin (#10), don't you think that Sandro is the weirdest looking 21-year-old? Maybe the person who filled out Yakubu's birth certificate did his as well.

What I like about this year already is that we are getting them in early so they can do the pre-season stuff together. None of this last-minute, transfer window nonsense. I hope we get a good left-sided midfielder/winger.

Borozovic is strong, athletic, has ball control and is a great long passer. He also has a thunderous shot. If we can get him for the reported £20 million then he is a steal. He is the playmaker at 24 years of age with more potential than Barkley. He seems to be really intelligent with bags of stamina and his tackling and interceptions are just right for the Premier League. I reckon he would be a fine attacking midfielder. Oh, and he has two feet so can handle either side.

David (#11), I think Man Utd are in for Perisic. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up there.

Also, the BBC are reporting that the young Milan keeper Donnarumma has turned down a new deal. I know a few TWers had mentioned him as a possible signing..

I hope Walsh is in Italy for Alejandro Gomez (Atalanta), Keita and Immobile (Lazio) or even Hamsik (Napoli – long shot).

Maybe even go back to Ajax for Ziyech (and then I woke up).

David (#11),

Hahaha. I was thinking exactly the same when I saw him.

If we did sign him, he'll definitely be all for us signing Rooney, so he can discuss a good place to be folically rejuvenated.

More twists but hopefully soon more positive news and more players signing for EFC.

Denver (#14) – Absolutely zero chance of Donnarumma coming to Everton. He'll be going to likes of Real Madrid in the near future either this year or next year.

Why? His agent is Mino Raiola, who will be lining up his next big pay check once he's banked the one from the sale of Lukaku.

Dona Summer is off to Man Utd. They've got this thing going on with Riola. He's agent to Mourinho and nearly every big player they have signed over the last 24 months.

I still think Lukaku is on the radar for there and if so, Man Utd (or Chelsea) will have to spend big to get him.

Steve 20, Dona Summer is off to United? I love disco, but that's highly unlikely! 👮👲👦

I'm intrigued to see what our playing style is going to be like this season. A mix of Roberto's attacking elan and Dour Dave's defensive prowess? That's been the missing element over the last 30 years.
