Overview

The RS started much more strongly and had a lot of possession and pressure for the first 15-20 minutes, but a Babb foul on Horne for which he was booked eased the pressure. A few minutes earlier Burrows was lucky not to go for a second bookable offence. Jackson, who'd been having a sormer allowed himself to get beaten by Bjornebye I think and from the cross both Fowler and Jones missed chances, Unnsie getting a good clearing header in. Horne had a shot deflected wide as we built up the pressure Dunc has another volley easily saved by James, then soon after with only about five to go a really good downward header which James did really well to stop. the best chance by far.

Then he got a break and shot just over with only two to go. In the last minute a Hinchcliffe long throw was met by Dunc and Rideout had a shot (suspicion of hand ball by Ruddock?) and then Dunc as well.

Almost the last kick was actually a header from the big man which Scales did well to clear.

So we finished much stronger.

Man of the match for us: Dunc over Rideout (just) IMHO, for the chaos he created in the RS defence. Babb and Scales couldn't handle him. But Rideout was everywhere, tackling back, being a fifth defender really often, winning ball for Dunc and feeding off him (who needs Mark Hughes?)

Overall I think a draw was a fair result especially away and that crappy midfield did it again!
