Sunderland away

Hey, I'm an American coming to England for the first time in November. I'd like to go to the Sunderland away match to see Timmy and was wondering what the possibility was of me being able to join the away support.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best place to watch the match in town

I'm going to be in town for the Matthew Street Festival today, can anyone recommend a good place to watch the Villa game in town? Is the Sports Cafe any good?

What's in a name?

Hi ToffeeWebbers! I am about to have my first son and my wife and I can't agree on a name. As a non-Liverpool born fan (I saw us play the Arse when I was 11 and being raised in North London, thought wouldn't it be great to see these tossers beaten. Lifelong fan ever since)

I have to admit that I do not really know my history as well as I would like and I wondered who your favourite Evertonians from back in the day are, and especially those with interesting names... Dixie has been vetoed, any other thoughts!?

Thanks!

Driving Lessons

I am a season ticket holder in the Lower Bullens with my son.

I set up my own driving school over 2 years ago, we operate in the Liverpool and Sefton Area.

We have a 86% first time pass rate the national average is only 45%.

If interested in learning how to drive, check out my web page: www.hardmandrivingschool.co.uk

Birkenhead Tunnel closure on match nights

One again Mersey Tunnels are closing the Birkenhead Tunnel on a match night from 10:00 for "essential maintenance" (which happens so often that the bloody thing must be about to collpapse).

This seems to happen at more or less every home game and for many people in Birkenhead means a big diversion thru Wallasey plus a queue to get thru the Wallasey Tunnel.

Would it kill them to wait till 11:00 when most people will have gone thru?

If you use the tunnels, email the gits via their website to complain.

Everton on Futbol Mundial

A FEATURE by Federico Ardiles on the Everton v Everton game is due to be broadcast on the FIFA Futbol Mundial programme on Sky Sports 1 on Wednesday (August 25) at 5.30pm GMT (Goodison Meal Time). It will be repeated several times in the following week.

In the September edition of When Saturday Comes magazine, there is a one-page article on the match by Simon Hart.

The Ruleteros Society would like to thank everyone who attended the game for making it such a memorable occasion, especially with so many staying behind after the final whistle for the presentations.

The Chilean players and supporters (a lot were in the main stand, as well as in the Bullens) have gone back to South America with very positive memories and stories of their visit, notably the friendliness - from reds as well as blues, it should be said. Accordingly, they thoroughly enjoyed their stay in Liverpool, home of Everton FC and The Beatles. Well, Goodison and the Cavern were their two most visited places.

On their way home, on the Saturday, they played Real Madrid's second team Castilla. After a 2-2 draw, Everton won on penalties.

Regards buying Everton Chile shirts, there has been a huge demand. Around 90 went on sale at Everton One on the morning of the game and quickly sold out. The Ruleteros Society is encouraging the club in Viņa del Mar to set up an English language, buy-over-the-internet sales operation. When there is any further news on this, we will pass it on.

Vivamos Everton

On a lighter note: Footy card games

I have just purchased off E-Bay a football card game from the fifties called PENALTY. I used to love playing this as a kid. I also noted a game my younger brother had, SOCCERAMA, endorsed by Alan Ball. What other games from pre-game boy days can you remember?

Singing area v Huddersfield

If you're one of those fans who like to sing far more often or like to start off chants at the match then I've been informed that fans are being asked to get your seats in GT4 Lower Gwladys St

LL100-110 - PP100-110

Fans are asked to get their tickets in there early before the non-singers get their tickets in there like at the last attempt.

Football Club for Sale

It breaks my heart but I must sell my beloved football club. Great history and tradition with loyal fan base. Runs well but been under-achieving for a while now. Lovely green grass but the stands need a lick of paint. Suit Asian or Middle East investor with cash to burn. Emails please to Billy@lar-lar-land.con
