Eddy Bosnar - Defender | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Everton finally signed Eddy Bosnar, and Australian allowed to leave Sturm Graz, who could not afford his wages. Bosnar impressed during a trial with Everton while they were at their now regular Austrian training camp back in July. The consensus was that he had performed well during the 90 mins in the Everton team against Železnik. Bosnar is not an accomplished international, so he fails to satisfy the criteria for a full work permit. Instead, Everton sent him back to Australia so he could pick up a Commonwealth Working Holiday Visa, valid for one year. Eddy Bosnar never made it into the Everton first team, and his appearances for the reserves dwindled during 2005, so it was little surprise David Moyes decided to dispense with his services. Bosnar was released in May 2005 and subsequently joined Dinamo Zagreb on a a three-year deal.
