Anger over taping of BK meeting

18/08/2011 |   Comments () :  Add your Comments
Fallout from the Blue Union meeting with Bill Kenwright may be building as Derek Hatton tweets The People's Group: "Sorry lads, taping [the] meeting without anyone knowing is disgraceful and underhanded. I feel I can never help you again!" In his BBC Blog, Phil McNulty talks of anger and embarrassment at Goodison Park over the apparent taping of the meeting.

This astounding statement then appeared from the Club:

“It must be pointed out that, after agreeing at the start of the meeting that there would be no note taking, the members of the Blue Union secretly taped the entire conversation.

“Bill Kenwright spent three and a half hours of his day with them, but they saw fit to treat both him and the football club with a total lack of respect.

“We accept that they neither speak for nor are representative of the vast majority of Everton supporters.”
