An Everton side has lifted a trophy in 2016 after a team of Blues fans representing the club won the annual Worldnet tournament in Leeds.

Started in 1998, Worldnet began as a competition for teams made up of supporters from Internet communities – websites, mailing lists and chat groups – with the Blues represented at the inaugural tournament in Reading that year by a side drawn from the ToffeeWeb-affiliated ToffeeNet mailing list.

Over the past 18 years, while many of the faces have changed, the same core of players has progressed to the veterans section and they finally got to hoist the silverware following their 1-0 win over Bradford in Sunday's final.

Over the course of the weekend, the Blues topped their group with a 100% record, scored 11 goals and conceded none. Congrats, lads!

And the bald head peeping through towards the right, appears to be Dave Gilmour from Pink Floyd... didn't know he could play!
