The following was printed in the Everton vs Swansea City match day programme on 19 November, 2016.

In addition, the club (who have been fantastic) have also donated 2 x signed shirts and 2 x tickets in the Directors Box! We are auctioning these off and are sharing this link with your followers if they would like to bid:

We are calling on Evertonians to help make a small boy’s dream come true...

Friends of three-year-old Kai are fundraising for him and his amazingly strong family who have been through so much and deserve a holiday of a lifetime to Disney Orlando.

In 2015, at just two years old, Kai Nell now was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of leukaemia. He fought a tough battle and underwent four gruelling rounds of chemotherapy and a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

After spending six months living in an isolation room he was allowed to go home. He was in remission but the journey was not over. After 11 months Kai’s parents were given the devastating news that he had relapsed.

Kai has since undergone another two rounds of chemotherapy and will be receiving radiation therapy and another bone marrow transplant from his baby brother, Brae, who has just turned one and is the only suitable match.

To see how you can help or become a donor, please follow Kai’s story on Facebook by searching for his page: Team Kai — Beating Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).
