In the 1960's he lit up the First Division,
That is why we called him "The Golden Vision",
A player full of skill and grace,
Slight of body but full of pace,Last night I went to Goodison Park,
It was cold and gloomy, very dark,
Over Gwladys Street out of the corner of my eye,
I saw a brilliant light up in the sky,

I knew then from where I was seated,
That his final Transfer had been completed.

Very good, George.

I've been rattling my brains trying to think of the song for Alex Young sung to Needles and Pins. It may have been updated for Alan Ball a few years afterwards, if anyone can help?

Brilliant words, George, and along with the rest of the people who have added their thoughts and views on the passing of Alex Young on ToffeeWeb, it is a testimony to Evertonians, the man and his family will be proud of.
