The last of the Round of 16 matches will complete the line-up for the quarter finals in Russia, with Sweden and Switzerland clashing at 3pm in Saint Petersburg and Colombia meeting England at 7pm in Moscow.

The Swedes topped Group F at the expense of Germany and South Korea to set up this meeting with the Swiss who were runners-up in Group E.

England, meanwhile, set up their date with the enterprising Colombians by virtue of their defeat to Belgium in the final group game that meant that they qualified from second place in Group G.

ITV pundit Martin O'Neill took a cheeky jab at Neymar following the final whistle: 'His reaction is pathetic, absolutely pathetic. Mark (Clattenburg) is right, it’s a red card, but the pain threshold of Neymar is incredibly low.

'I wouldn’t want to see him coming out of the doctors’ surgery after getting a flu injection.’

SUMS IT ALL UP REGARDING NEYMAR - a similar version of Ronaldo!

No James Rodriguez for Colombia today. Not even from the bench.

Slight advantage England before a ball has been kicked.

Sweden worry me more than Colombia. We always struggle against the Swedes.

Two wins in 15 attempts over 50 years against the Swedes Colin.

But – being upbeat! – those two wins have come in our last 3 fixtures against them.

Colombia for me is still the trickiest tie.

Let's see how we go tonight first, Col. You sound like you've been listening to "TalkShite". :)

Let's just beat this half-decent Colombia side. Then we'll think about Sweden.

Extra time, anyone... penalties?

I think (hope) we should beat Colombia (2-0) but those Swedes put you to sleep and then can grab a jammy goal.

Not counting my chickens but, c’mon England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿!!!

Impossible to call, more so than ever, the way this World Cup's panned out...

Why are there so few England fans in Moscow?

Usually they outnumber the opposition but this time they are outnumbered 4 to 1.

Come on, Jordan lad. Do yourself justice.

Geoff.

Most of them are still in hospital after the last encounter with Russians.

Colombia are quietly confident here. England need to mix this up a bit with a few long balls to Kane.

Long balls to Kane will be easily mopped up by Colombia's towering centre-backs. That tactic won't swing it for England.

Good opening spell by England, well weathered by Colombia who are trying every trick in the book.

England needs to be smarter at corners and free kicks given Colombia's height when defending.

That requires quick passing and close control around their penalty area, playing around and through them on the ground.

Unfortunately, that isn't happening because it is breaking down around two players: Sterling and Dele Alli.

As the half wore on Colombia were able to increasingly keep England further from their penalty area without really threatening ours.

I was open-mouthed at the Brazilian commentator (Neymar anyone..?) saying Henderson's simulation and falling to the ground was disgraceful! He clearly gets head-butted under the chin and goes down naturally, not as if falling out of a light aircraft from 10,000 m without a parachute.

That kind of violence – intended or not – merits a straight red card. This ref needs to be tougher.

England has to be very, very careful – and canny – here. England go behind, it's gonna be tough to get back into this.

Very poor against a rubbish Colombia. Not one attempt on target besides the penalty.

"Very poor" is being kind. They have to do it the hard way with pure effort and no skill or intelligence. Just horrible to watch.

Colombia deserve that goal and England deserve to concede it for being crap at football.

England still have the look of a Sam Allardyce team... Everything goes sideways and backwards with an over-reliance on free-kicks and corners. My god it's a feeling of déjà vu
from last season!

Yes, Karl, pissing about at the back, no shots on target, and we will be going out tonight, I think.

A World Cup without England is a better World Cup. Can't pass the ball, can't head the ball and absolutely zero intelligence. England would be happy for penalties right now even with their past record.

Good night, boys – going out with the dogs for a walk. This is not even worth watching anymore.

At least we can concentrate on the Premier League now.

See how I called it right in post 7, then pretended to modestly undermine myself in post 9. Hell, I'm good.

England were too reminiscent of past poor, clueless, frightened performances... defaulted back when the pressure was on. A least we won the shoot-out.
