C'mon Gulls! Dale Self 3 Posted 03/12/2023 at 14:21:37 That was a fairly brilliant volley assist from Badashile(?) the Chelsea CB. 1-0 2-0 with other scores helping out too. Soren Moyer 4 Posted 03/12/2023 at 14:50:00 Nice. Gallagher sent off. Now a couple of injuries to Chelsea key players and we are back in business. Nick Page 5 Posted 03/12/2023 at 14:51:44 2-2 at Mordor and the shite have scored two worldies from nowhere. Satan been napping Dale Self 6 Posted 03/12/2023 at 15:00:40 Another 45 minutes and this could be a really good football weekend. Need a couple of Brighton goals. Ian Styles 7 Posted 03/12/2023 at 15:52:21 Waiting for 12 minutes of added time in the RS game because they are losing. Ian Styles 8 Posted 03/12/2023 at 15:58:34 Always find a way don't they? Kevin Naylor 9 Posted 03/12/2023 at 16:12:59 Fulham 3-2 up with 10 mins to play get beat 4-3 by the Red Shite. Poor Marco has taken the Everton curse with him by the looks of it. Alan McGuffog 10 Posted 03/12/2023 at 16:14:12 Satan napping? Never! Nick Page 11 Posted 03/12/2023 at 16:41:27 Easy money betting on Satans lot when they go behind Brian Williams 12 Posted 03/12/2023 at 16:48:53 People slagging Beto's miss yesterday. Take a look at Haaland's miss! Even the very best make mistakes. Having said that, he'll probably go on to score a hat-trick. 🤣🤣🤣 Ray Roche 13 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:07:31 Well he's just missed another Brian Brian Williams 14 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:09:28 Saw that Ray. 😱 Duncan McDine 15 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:11:12 Spurs are very brave/stupid playing this open against City. Fun to watch though! Duncan McDine 16 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:18:37 Gazza, Scholes, Foden... best English players in my lifetime (I'm 44). Foden has the potential to become the best player in world football IMO. Incredible balance, touch and a natural football brain. Joe McMahon 17 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:19:57 Duncan, Bryan Robson? Rob Dolby 18 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:21:28 Duncan 17. Bellingham? Ray Roche 19 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:22:20 Out of interest, I looked at the away form league, we're 4th, Newcastle are 15th with only one win. They're a good side but not great on the road. Let's hope we can do the business on Thursday. Tom Bowers 20 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:23:21 If the Premier League games are reduced to 80 minutes would RS have a lot fewer wins? There always seems to be just enough time to steal the points.Only happens to Everton once in a Blue Moon. Still, Man City are still the best side to watch. Ray Roche 21 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:24:24 To be fair, Rob, I don't think Bellingham has proved anything in the Premier League yet. Ray Roche 22 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:25:29 Zola? Duncan McDine 23 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:30:17 I almost included Robson, but I stand by the 3 in my list. Bellingham could also get in there one day, but I can't help drooling when Foden cruises around the pitch... almost Messi-like but that fella is in another league altogether. As far as I remember, Zola wasn't English 🤣 Ray Roche 24 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:35:39 I think you'll find Zola qualifies. He used to have an English Terrier.(A Border Collie gets you in the Wales squad.) Duncan McDine 25 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:44:39 That's brilliant Ray!!We've had a few of our own English Terriers over the tears. Peter Reid and Hibbo were particularly good 'off the leash' Paul Ferry 26 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:46:29 I just got up… yawn.I sold Watkins coz we were told he would not play and he scores and makes one, and I was gonna bin Son who nabs an own goal. I hate fantasy footy. The Premier League is corrupt Ray Roche 27 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:50:24 Duncan, I don't think Hibbo was house trained. Paul Ferry 28 Posted 03/12/2023 at 17:54:20 Been mourning the passing of Shane McGowan over the weekend with streams of wine. I imagine that you knew that he was a huge Evertonian, spoke of us a lot, and how much he hated the shite. Paul Ferry 29 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:01:57 Great finish, that's been coming.Man City have been looking slack and sluggish for a good 10 minutes. Joe McMahon 30 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:07:26 Paul another musician died this week but only The Guardian mention it. Geordie Walker. His riffs were on another level. He did a lot less drugs than Shane. I briefly saw the Pogues once at Reading Festival in 89, he was off his head, but enjoying himself. Paul Ferry 31 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:12:39 Thanks Joe, I'll find something by him (was he a skunk!). He always was wasn't he and you saw them right t the end of their pomp - he even seems to be enjoying himself in his final goodbye message Paul Ferry 32 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:13:59 what was bissouma - spelling - thinking of Brian Williams 33 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:21:04 City, City wtf?Does anyone else find the City v Spurs Sky commentator really annoying. He's developed a habit of dramatically screaming out the player's forename and surname when they shoot or have a chance on goal. Paul Ferry 34 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:22:48 what a fecking header Paul Ferry 35 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:30:08 Brian as in 'LAMPARD' at Elland Road mate Paul Ferry 36 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:32:08 absolutely disgraceful refereeing calling Grealish back Brian Wilkinson 37 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:40:55 Paul, apart from our neighbours, could not have happened to a more arrangent try and punish us and fight our solicitors City, that today. At last a top team on the wrong end of a ref cockup, but you can guarentee this incident will not be buried like various ones Everton have been on the end of.Every single media will be writing stories for Days of the injustice of the ref blowing.Made my evening that, now just let's sit back and watch all the cryarseing on every media platform, I do not have one ounce of pity for them, cheated far worse than any club and still getting away from it.So do not shed a tear for City Paul. Ed Prytherch 38 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:43:16 What is it with fat, bald refs? But full credit to Spurs who kept on playing hard all the way to the end. Ricky Oak 39 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:46:29 Agreed Paul am flabbergasted how obvious dottinham have major influence in this bs league. Waved on thinking spuds would clear, grealish surprised ref, so, blows up...Us mere mortals are getting treated like absolute morons. Dirty fouls, no cards, three and four times same players, all very chummy with ref, was like watching Everton at times though wasnt it,, these teams are definitely catching us up, uno, skill n speed wise. Ricky Oak 40 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:49:22 Okay, I see how they get away with it now,, the league hate city,, because they're big enough to fight the corrupt tits. Spurs are as bad as rs imo. Paul Ferry 41 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:49:33 Don't worry Brian, smiles not tears mate! Gotta have some sneaky admiration for Spurs taking it to City like that. The way they strolled around when 2-1 up was utter we got lawyers arrogance. They fecking deserved it. Ricky Oak 42 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:51:54 Sonny was getting blown earlier how nice he is.Dirty rat. Same shiz. Joe McMahon 43 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:53:20 It was wrong, but City benefit from many decisions, I'm sure the sky teams loving media has forgotten about about the Rodri handball.Paul correct, he was from the northeast and the powerhouse of Killing Joke. An awesome band over 40 years. Barry Hesketh 44 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:55:11 whoops! duplicate Barry Hesketh 45 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:55:11 I don't think that referee is blowing up for a foul with Salah, Rashford or an Arsenal lad driving forwards on goal at their home venue, that late in the game. Nor do I think if City were playing one of the lesser lights, that he would blow up either. I actually thought that he had waved play-on in the first place, but I could be wrong. Not a great day at the office, but not the worst either,That Quarter-Final against Fulham, won't be as simple as some Blues I've spoken to have made it out to be. However, no fixture at Goodison is straight forward for Everton at the minute. We need to win a couple at home before the end of the year, in order to regain some much needed self-belief for the fans and the players, else all the good work away from home will be wasted. Paul Ferry 46 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:55:45 Killing Joke, I do know Joe, ta Joe McMahon 47 Posted 03/12/2023 at 18:58:25 Apologies Paul, I should have remembered we like similar stuff. Paul Ferry 48 Posted 03/12/2023 at 19:04:43 No need for apologies mate, I forgot his name, glad you reminded me and yep just fecking sad Paul Ferry 49 Posted 03/12/2023 at 19:51:32 Palace away in the cup - gooners v shite - skunks v sunderland Barry Hesketh 50 Posted 04/12/2023 at 18:25:46 From 2025, Sky Sports will broadcast a record minimum of 215 Premier League matches a season after finalising a new four-year agreement. With up to 100 more matches each season, Sky Sports' exclusively live coverage will increase by 70% from 2025-26 through to 2028-29.As part of the new deal, which will commence with the 2025-26 season, Sky Sports will show more Premier League action than any other broadcaster with at least four matches per week.Sky Sports' 215 matches will include more than 140 matches played at weekends, evening matches on Fridays and Mondays and full coverage of three midweek match rounds. For the first time, Sky Sports will also broadcast all 10 Premier League matches on the final day of each season. Source:Sky SportsThere's only 380 games to be played in a typical season, given that other parties such as TNT and Amazon Prime who also want to broadcast in the UK, that really doesn't leave too many games that won't be live on the TV in the UK. Barry Hesketh 51 Posted 04/12/2023 at 18:42:12 According to the Guardian:Sky has secured four of the five packages on sale, meaning a minimum of 215 live matches, including all 10 fixtures on the final day of the season. TNT will screen 52 matches, while Match of the Day will continue after the BBC bought the rights to a weekly highlights package. The deal, which commences from the start of the 2025-2026 season and runs until the end of the 2028-29 campaign, has been hailed by the Premier League as being “the largest sports media rights deals ever concluded in the UKâ€.Which I assume means that Amazon Prime have been frozen out or didn't bid enough. Chris Williams 52 Posted 04/12/2023 at 18:45:23 It also explains why Sky were reluctant to antagonise the Premier League with adverse Everton coverage.
