I don't think that referee is blowing up for a foul with Salah, Rashford or an Arsenal lad driving forwards on goal at their home venue, that late in the game. Nor do I think if City were playing one of the lesser lights, that he would blow up either. I actually thought that he had waved play-on in the first place, but I could be wrong.

That Quarter-Final against Fulham, won't be as simple as some Blues I've spoken to have made it out to be. However, no fixture at Goodison is straight forward for Everton at the minute.

We need to win a couple at home before the end of the year, in order to regain some much needed self-belief for the fans and the players, else all the good work away from home will be wasted.

From 2025, Sky Sports will broadcast a record minimum of 215 Premier League matches a season after finalising a new four-year agreement.

With up to 100 more matches each season, Sky Sports' exclusively live coverage will increase by 70% from 2025-26 through to 2028-29.

As part of the new deal, which will commence with the 2025-26 season, Sky Sports will show more Premier League action than any other broadcaster with at least four matches per week.

Sky Sports' 215 matches will include more than 140 matches played at weekends, evening matches on Fridays and Mondays and full coverage of three midweek match rounds.

There's only 380 games to be played in a typical season, given that other parties such as TNT and Amazon Prime who also want to broadcast in the UK, that really doesn't leave too many games that won't be live on the TV in the UK.

According to the Guardian:

Sky has secured four of the five packages on sale, meaning a minimum of 215 live matches, including all 10 fixtures on the final day of the season. TNT will screen 52 matches, while Match of the Day will continue after the BBC bought the rights to a weekly highlights package.

The deal, which commences from the start of the 2025-2026 season and runs until the end of the 2028-29 campaign, has been hailed by the Premier League as being “the largest sports media rights deals ever concluded in the UK”.

Which I assume means that Amazon Prime have been frozen out or didn't bid enough.

It also explains why Sky were reluctant to antagonise the Premier League with adverse Everton coverage.
