The match
report from the Saints WWW page.
Several point blank saves, very good interceptions. Slipped a not too difficult
shot, but managed to get back in time to keep it out of goal. Had to intervene
outside his area when the rest of the defence stood watching a Soton player
getting the ball.
Awful. Lost all duels in first half, at fault for both goals, did not win
to many in 2nd half either. Just terrible.
Adequate. Played only first half.
Easily the best defender on the field. Tackles well, places himself well,
and is fast enough to chase down players. Very impressive. Even went on some
forward runs, typically not much support. I considered giving 9...
Tried hard, but often ended up fumbling the ball. Had some nice passes, and
the free-kick after four minutes that led to knock-out of Grobbelaar was
a plus.

Terrible. Wasted one of Everton's best chances, blowing it far wide.
Not his old self. Had a free-kick just outside the top corner. Not a good
crosser, behind goal or tamelessly at opposite player.
I don't understand why he is top-scorer...
Not his best game. Going twice to the goal-line (bye-line?), then crossing
tamelessly into the 'keepers hands. Had a very good chance in the second
half which he wasted, when he tried and extra touch and then slipped his
feet... Two dissalowed goals, one for offside after a corner, a little disputed,
he got the ball via a Soton defender, but all right, he was offside when
the shot came in towards goal.
