Toffees beat Blades |

A very strong Everton side beat the Blades quite comfortably in front of
12,645 fans at Bramall Lane. It was a happy return for Howard Kendall as
his side showed their superiority with a competent display against a lacklustre
United team.
On 40 minutes new signing Danny Williamson crossed for Duncan Ferguson to head home past Andy Dibble. A minute later Graham Stuart broke down the right and squared for Nick Barmby who slotted home. Four minutes after the interval Michael Branch hit an unstoppable shot that Dibble could only get a hand to. Fifteen minutes before the end Barmby rounded off the scoring with another pile driver. |
