Calum Dyson joined Everton's Academy at the age of 6 and was a near ever-present for the title-winning Under-18s in 2013-14. His six goals and 10 assists were vital as the Blues progressed to an end of season final against Manchester City, while Dyson also found himself involved with the Under-21s, making six appearances.
He signed his first professional contract with Everton in July 2014, later extended twice to run through June 2018.
He had a loan spell with Stockport County earlier in the 2015-16 season, scoring three times for Neil Young's side, and later went on loan with Chester City. A regular scorer for David Unsworth's U23s, he would play an important role in pushing them to a commanding lead in Premier League 2 before he went out on loan with Grimsby Town in January 2017 until the end of the season.
He was named the Mariners' player of the season that year and another loan spell was on the cards for 2017-18 when Plymouth Argyle showed interest but it fell through.
He started in the Under-23 side's defence of their Premier League 2 trophy but was taken off after just 15 minutes of the game against West Ham, and it appears to have been a serious injury as he was not seen again until the turn of the year
Dyson was eventually released by Everton in June 2018 without having made a first-team appearance and joined Plymouth Argyle.
