Everton U18s were dumped out of this season's Lancashire Senior Cup as they crashed to a 4-1 defeat at Finch Farm in a home tie against Burnley this evening.

Burnley opened the scoring after just 5 minutes after a shot had been handled on the line by an Everton defender which would have led to a red card and a penalty had they not scored from the rebound.

George Pickford was beaten three more times in a disastrous first half that saw the young Blues go off with a 0-4 deficit. The home side were able to stabilize things in the second half with Coby Ebere scoring a consolation goal.

Everton U18s: G Pickford, Dixon, O Samuels-Smith, Jones, Thomas, Foster, Beaumont-Clark, Armstrong, Heath, Apter, Ebere.

Subs: Graham, Davis, Finney, Lambert, Stewart.
