The home side, who are already the North Division Champions, took the lead in the first half but Everon equalized with a goal by Rocco Lambert before the break, but Man Utd came back to establish the lead in added time. Everton seemed to be holding their own for long periods of the second half but eventually gave up a winning goal to the hosts in the last 10 minutes. The Everton team featured Kurainashe Musanhi at left-back, who is believed to be on trial, having previously played on trial with Crystal Palace U18s against Norwich City back in March. Disclaimer () Dave Abrahams 1 Posted 04/05/2024 at 13:45:34 United's third goal was, apparently, a comical cock up which was started by playing out from the back.Jesus, if the first team are useless at this playing out from the back how do they expect the kids to try and do it? Coaches? They might have their bleedin' badges but do they understand football? Michael Kenrick 2 Posted 04/05/2024 at 16:52:12 Yea, Dave, a defensive mix-up, per the official report. But still no team line-up. Dave Abrahams 3 Posted 04/05/2024 at 17:17:13 Michael (2), I couldn't get any real information from my very expensive ‘MITK†except there was a trialist playing left back and the young 16 year old we have signed from Northern Ireland, Braiden Graham, has just come on as a sub in the cup final over there, very small but very good is the way this lad is described, another Bobby Collins? Maybe Andy Crooks has heard of him. Dave Abrahams 4 Posted 04/05/2024 at 17:30:19 Yes just checking up on Braiden Graham, he came on for Linfield against Cliftonville but there was no happy ending for the young boy with Cliftonville winning 3-1 with two late extra time goals. Braeden Corkery 5 Posted 05/05/2024 at 01:03:07 Apparently line up was:G PickfordO Samuels-SmithG FinneyA ThomasR LambertK MusanhiC BatesH FosterC StewartL GardnerJ CatesbySubs: Van SchoorMaherWrenOlayiwolaLukjanciksOnly thing I can find about Musanhi was that he was part of the Crystal Palace set up at some point this year. Michael Kenrick 6 Posted 05/05/2024 at 09:07:56 Thanks, Braeden.Seems Kurainashe Musanhi wore No 3 and I think he must be on trial, presumably from Crystal Palace U18s, where he has made only one appearance (at left-back) this season — although now I'm seeing that was a trial also. Although I just noticed this mention in the official report:Head coach Baines made several changes to his starting line-up from last week's 1-1 draw at Manchester City, George Pickford back in goal, with Lambert, George Finney, and Kurai Musanhi also returning.I need to check my records but I don't believe Musanhi has played for Everton U18s before this.
