Disclaimer () Mick O'Malley 1 Posted 05/04/2025 at 18:43:16 Villa have a really good squad now, made loads of changes with Champions League in mind midweek… but they are 2-up on Forest and looking good. They recruited really well — I will never forgive Benitez for selling Lucas Digne.Oh, I might've spoken too soon — Forest just pulled one back, they've started the 2nd half well… Paul Ferry 2 Posted 06/04/2025 at 03:12:26 Oh, I might've spoken too soon - no you didn't Mick, but Forest should have got at least a point. Nigel Scowen 3 Posted 06/04/2025 at 14:23:47 Get in, Fulham! James Hughes 4 Posted 06/04/2025 at 14:33:38 Iwobi has just put The Cottagers in the lead! 2-1 Fulham. Nigel Scowen 5 Posted 06/04/2025 at 14:37:15 3-1 Fulham James Hughes 6 Posted 06/04/2025 at 14:37:32 Fulham 3-1 up now, woohoo Rob Halligan 7 Posted 06/04/2025 at 14:45:31 How long did that VAR check take before ruling out Spurs second goal? It was at least five minutes, so if it's taking that long then surely it's not a clear and obvious error and so very, very close, and it should have stood… just as Spurs do make it 2-0. Rob Halligan 8 Posted 06/04/2025 at 14:47:47 I see the Premier League Matchweek thread is being omitted from the home page again. So nobody can see any recent comments. Get a grip, Mr Kenrick! 😄😄 Jack Convery 9 Posted 06/04/2025 at 15:06:36 I see the hung, drawn and quartered Mac Allister is playing and scoring today, after completing the match in midweek despite rolling around like a man with a broken leg, following Tarkowski's clearance. Rob Halligan 10 Posted 06/04/2025 at 17:23:23 Jeez, this Manchester derby is like pulling teeth! 🥱🥱🥱 Paul Ferry 11 Posted 06/04/2025 at 18:21:48 I can see why KDB is heading off, he's been crap. Paul Ferry 12 Posted 06/04/2025 at 18:29:37 Radcliffe does not even have the guts to be there. Shithouse. Paul Ferry 13 Posted 06/04/2025 at 18:31:03 Duncan Ferguson, by the way, is on the 5live Monday Night Club tomorrow for the 2 hours. Paul Ferry 14 Posted 06/04/2025 at 19:38:45 Saints fan on 606 was saying how much he loved Goodison Park and can't wait for the game and the day which, he said, would be very special. Mick O'Malley 15 Posted 06/04/2025 at 19:46:06 That Manchester derby was a hard watch, Roy Keane and Gary Neville weren't very complimentary. Also, big Ange putting the boot in on VAR again: 4 minutes to disallow a Spurs goal today and 6 minutes mid-week; he's not a fan. I hate it myself. Danny O'Neill 16 Posted 06/04/2025 at 22:41:20 That's my biggest issue with VAR Rob, why does it take so long? It smacks of "I used to be indecisive, but now I can't make my mind up".I fell asleep watching the Manchester derby.Small things in life, the party is on hold with Iwobi on the scoresheet! Dave Bowen 17 Posted 06/04/2025 at 22:54:23 After watching MacAllister rolling over & over trying to get Tarky sent off on Wednesday, Diaz was at it yet again today. Actually hes a serial culprit & got Young sent off in the Anfield Derby last season with his rolling antics. Im amazed the media hasnt picked up on this, then again, look who he plays for. Tom Bowers 18 Posted 06/04/2025 at 22:57:40 If VAR picks it up they should make the decision not send it down to the Referee.Alsao when is the league going to step in regarding all the time wasted at corner kicks. The players know the rules so the referee should let them carry on with all the clutching and grabbing, let the kick be taken and then have the guts to call the penalty for the first sign of a defensive foul whatever it is.Too much time is wasted when the referee stops the kick and starts finger wagging at the crowded six yard box players and as soon as he steps back they start all over again. Call the penalty which will stop these shenanigans once and for all. Neil Copeland 19 Posted 06/04/2025 at 23:41:45 There needs to be a time limit of 30secs on VAR. No decision by then means the on field call stands. Currently it is hopeless and ruing the enjoyment. Brian Denton 20 Posted 06/04/2025 at 23:51:17 We are not going to be relegated, but looking at the table there is every chance we will finish 17th - one place above relegation. Depressing prospect, but I guess we'd have settled for that in January. Don Alexander 21 Posted 07/04/2025 at 00:42:51 For once the way of Premier League football ensures we're free already of relegation, again. It, and K&M - obviously, also ensures we'll struggle like fuck to do much better next season or the season after that to have a hope of success, success being qualifying for Europe. The success-denying wounds inflicted on us are, and always were, for decades, blindingly obvious.Aged 70 I just pray, bizarrely!, that Friedkin has it in his heart, head and wallet to restore even a modicum of the fabulous reputation Everton had before self-serving, devious ponces took over our club, and destiny still to come, in the late 20th century. Jim Bennings 22 Posted 07/04/2025 at 06:10:41 Great stuff from Marco today, absolutely out footballing them and again exposing the diminishing returns that is Van Dijk now. Joe McMahon 23 Posted 07/04/2025 at 08:07:51 Don, "self-serving, devious ponces took over our club" made me smile in a Monday morning! You could be onto something about 17th, Wolves are in some form. Mark Murphy 24 Posted 07/04/2025 at 08:52:26 Don, it's all opinions I know but I totally disagree with your vision of next season.3 smart signings in key positions (and Alcaraz in for Doucoure is one of those) and we will be a decent side capable of top half. In my honest opinion, we're already a better side than many give us credit for. Without wanting to tempt fate no-one will smash us this season. Next season, I expect a step up. Dave Abrahams 26 Posted 07/04/2025 at 11:25:20 Danny (16), “I used to be indecisive, but now I can't make my mind up.” Moyes would be the ideal man to be in charge of VAR! Rob Halligan 27 Posted 07/04/2025 at 20:15:03 Loads of empty seats at the King Power. Could be totally empty by half time, except for the away section, if it carries on the way it is. Skunks 2-up after 10 minutes. Audacious shot by Schar from his own half hitting the bar only for Murphy to follow up and score, adding to his first after 2 minutes. Rob Halligan 28 Posted 07/04/2025 at 20:36:30 Game over….3-0. Mind you I think it was game over from the second minute onwards. And loads walking out! Danny O'Neill 29 Posted 07/04/2025 at 20:40:16 Even though I've been saying they and the current Bottom 3 were down since Christmas, I feel depressed for the Leicester supporters. Paul Ferry 30 Posted 07/04/2025 at 20:44:17 Do the fecking skunks ever stop nicking other team's songs?Mind you, we used to sing "away the lads" in the 70s.I do not feel a single little drop of sympathy for the Lesta fans Paul Ferry 31 Posted 07/04/2025 at 20:47:34 Livramento went 40 yards there and not one Leicester lad was anywhere near him. Rob Halligan 32 Posted 07/04/2025 at 20:56:56 I agree with Paul. If that was us down there, there wouldnt be one single fan anywhere up and down the country who would feel depressed for us. Paul Ferry 33 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:04:20 Rob, there would be celebrations mate. Last autumn on many boards there were so many crowing that at last we were going down and all sorts of shite club shit fans stuff. Paul Ferry 34 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:06:11 Another 60 yard run from Livramento. Rob Halligan 35 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:09:53 Wow, twelve hours since Leicester last scored a premier league goal. Paul Ferry 36 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:16:51 Takes less time to fly from Heathrow to LA Rob Halligan 37 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:22:35 They will have an open top bus parade when they do get one. Paul Ferry 38 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:23:40 I can't take much more of those fat skunks dancing to the Saliba song. Colin Crooks 39 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:32:29 And some people still claim we were going down. Southampton are down and Leicester still havent gone past where we were when Dyche left. Rob Halligan 40 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:33:55 Leicester have put a 15 year old sub on, and due to him being so young hes not allowed to have Leicesters sponsors on the front of his shirt.Leicester's sponsors are a gambling firm. Paul Ferry 41 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:35:11 Leicester bringing on a 15-year-old. Might as well, I suppose. He can't even have the betting group sponsor's logo on his shirt. Paul Ferry 42 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:35:43 Bastard Rob. Paul Ferry 43 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:36:34 Surprising that they can remember the words to 'we love you N we do' Robert Tressell 44 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:37:16 You are right, Colin. We weren't going down under Dyche. It's better though under Moyes. Danny O'Neill 45 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:37:33 Poor kid. Some of the play the kids promoters would love that, but what an atmosphere to bring the lad into. Great achievement I just hope it doesn't destroy him. Paul Ferry 46 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:42:46 He's doing just fine Danny. Colin Crooks 47 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:43:21 Very hard for an established premier league team to be relegated, Robert. The newly promoted ones are so far behind these days. The bookies know it. You can virtually name your own price if you want a bet on one of them to stay up. Paul Ferry 48 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:45:35 Guessing: Leeds, Burnley, and Sheff-Utd to come up this season. Would you bet on any one of them staying up? Paul Ferry 49 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:49:45 Rob T, any Saints Leicester, Ipswich lads to get I a fire sale: Dibling, W-Peters, Davis, Delap, Pereira (on loan?), Ndidi? Rob Halligan 50 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:54:48 Whoever scores Leicesters next goal, Paul. He will be a legend for years to come! 😁😁 Danny O'Neill 51 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:56:56 Paul, a very good Leeds friend told me earlier that if they don't fall apart again, he thinks they'll struggle as much as the current bottom three. He's want to visit BMD and has invited me to Elland Road for a fight. I've known him since 1994 and played football with him!! Paul Ferry 52 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:59:22 I remember you mentioning him elsewhere Danny. I don't think that many of the Leeds fans are happy with Farke. Can't wait for the links with Will Gnonto over the summer. It will be an OG Rob. Robert Tressell 53 Posted 07/04/2025 at 21:59:40 Yes, lots. Sadly Dibling and Delap are going to have much richer suitors but we could do worse than:M. FernandesSulemanaHarewood BellisWalker PetersGreavesDavisHutchison Philogene JustinKristiansenSoumareEl KhannoussiNdidiAnd loan players like Ugochukwu, Enciso and Buonanotte. Paul Ferry 54 Posted 07/04/2025 at 22:01:57 See the Blondie drummer has just died. Paul Ferry 55 Posted 07/04/2025 at 22:04:01 That's not a bad list at all Rob, and with our finances it's a place where we should be looking/shopping. Rob Halligan 56 Posted 07/04/2025 at 22:26:56 Well according to the BBC rumour page, we are going to enter the race to sign Delap, who has a £40M release clause in his contract should Ipswich be relegated. Paul Ferry 57 Posted 07/04/2025 at 23:14:56 I'm making up a Delap song right now Rob!
