Everton Academy 6 - 1 Muthoot
Qualifying players from Everton U18s finished their Premier League's U17 Next Generation Cup participation, claiming a big 6-1 win over their first opposition, Muthoot FA.
Having missed out on the final and the chance to play Stellenbosch because the young Blues lost to Punjab yesterday, they finished the tournament in the 5th-place playoff up against Muthoot Football Academy again, and this time winning convincingly.
Goals came from Joel Catesby (2), Morgan (2), Thomas, Bates.

Everton Academy: G Pickford, Finney (Beaumont-Clark), Gardener, Thomas (Van Schoor), O Samuels-Smith, Foster (Freedman), Bates (Matos), Akarakiri, Wren (Graham), Morgan (Stewart), Catesby (Roberts).
Subs not Used: Lukjanciks.

Eight in all. 3 Indian, 1 South African, 4 English (Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Everton and Spurs).

I hope our scouts were having a good look at the South African team — they looked to be a very good team going by the results.
