Francis Gomez has been recalled from loan with Lyon

Everton have recalled Under-21s midfielder Francis Gomez from his loan spell with Lyon.

18-year-old Francis Gomez was signed by Everton last summer from Nigerian club Sporting Supreme and made the immediate switch to Olympique Lyonnais on loan for the 2024-25 season.

But he has been sparingly utilized by the French club and so the decision was taken to recall him so that the Gambian teenager could continue his development with the Under-21s at Finch Farm.
