Everton U21s 3 - 4 Norwich City U21s

Everton U21s went behind early on to Norwaich City at the Big Help Stadium in Southport and were 3 -1 down at the break. But they battled back to square the match before giving up a late goal.

The visitors opened the scoring within 5 minutes as a fine half-volley arrowed in to the top corner. Martin Sherif restored parity for Everton 6 minutes later, nodding in from a couple of yards out.

The Young Canaries took the lead once more in the 29th minute, later increasing the away side’s lead in the first minute of first-half injury time.

The game concluded in a similar thrilling fashion to how it started. Two quickfire goals from half-time substitutes George Morgan and Francis Gomez meant the hosts had equalised with 13 minutes remaining. The game was set for one last turn, though, with the visitors snatching the winner 7 minutes before the end.

Everton U21s: Leban, Dixon, Samuels-Smith, Welch, Thomas, J Patterson (69' Van Schoor), Beaumont-Clark (46' Graham), Bates (46' Gomez), Sherif, Barker (46' Morgan), Heath [Y].

Subs not Used: Barnsley

I am hopeful Braiden Graham might get his first team debut this season. Just a few minutes maybe at the end of our final match.

Nsangou looks genuinely exciting.

Robert (3), I’ve only read about Nsangou but he sounds like a very good player.

Braiden Graham I’ve seen a few times he looks like he understands football— he certainly knows how to play it, I don’t think he would be nervous about playing in the first team I think he would relish it, I hope he gets those twenty minutes or so before the end of the season I think the crowd would enjoy him.

Seriously - you want him to get 20 minutes at St. James' Park as his debut? What has he done to deserve that punishment.

They should make top 5 and be in Champions League so their party will be massive and the atmosphere toxic.
