The Women’s Super League is set to begin in September. With the men’s team moving to Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, the 133-year-old ground will serve as the new home for the Everton Women’s team. Colin Chong, Everton’s stadium development director, said that the ground would have "a new lease of life" by the time the new season begins. Aiming to be a “centre of excellence” for women’s football, the first part of the transition will involve making changes to the stadium to improve the matchday experience and provide more adequate facilities for the start of the season. Chong also told the Local Government Association conference in Liverpool that the club intends to continue investing in the iconic ground “over a period of time”. As a result, they are also seeking investment to the tune of "tens of millions of pounds". The men’s team bid goodbye to the Grand Old Lady with an emotional farewell as the Toffees beat Southampton 2-0 in May. Only a few days before that match, the club made the decision to reconfigure Goodison Park instead of demolishing it altogether. Will we sell her to a company also owned by TFG - probably.
