Good luck to Tony Bellew who fights later tonight for the Commonwealth light-heavy title at the Echo arena. Tony (who apparently will be led into the ring tonight by John Conteh) is a fanatical Evertonian who dreams of fighting for the world title inside a packed Goodison Park. I couldn't make tonight but would love to see him fight at Goodison.

Anyway he won (RSF after about two seconds). As to how far he’ll go, too early to say although personality-wise there is something of the Noel ("that is all I have to say!") Quarless about him.
As soon as the ref stopped it he was shouting "NEXT!" and he strangely told the interviewer "I’m a product of me environment". However, he did come up with the best response of the night.
When told his African opponent was known as ’The Spear’ he said "He’ll be known as the broken spear after I get done with him". Love to see him walk out at Madison Sq Garden to Z-Cars.
