Just wanted to say and point out, that Toffeeweb and Grandoldteam have made 2 of the 32 websites of the Teamtalk recommend list. I do read Teamtalk quite a bit, and they do quite a lot of blogs, and most of them are fairly well written with good debates afterwards, just like a lot of articles on here.

I wanted to mention this though because only Everton and Arsenal are clubs with more than one site dedicated to them on this list. Even clubs like Man Utd only have one in it.

So it shows Michael, Lyndon and the creators of the Grandoldteam, and also just as important, Everton as a whole, are doing something right! Thanks for this site guys!

The two sites are opposites. Toffeeweb has great critical analysis, whereas Grand Old Team is the worst Everton website of all time.

Have you never been on Blue Kipper then David? I suppose I am being a bit harsh, the site is ok but the forums are full of knobs

The Bluekipper forum had many pro-active members, there were a few fan movements that stemmed from the members there. It was similar to here in that respect. That is what I look for in a forum.

Teamtalk however is sky-centric and the EFC page is full of tossers, just sayin like, Lid

If Toffeeweb was a steak it would be Waygu; if a beer then Coopers pale ale; if it was a movie then it would be Zulu; and if it was a shirt it would be a button-down Benny circa 1970. It simply is the best web-site out especially out of the Everton ones.

I believe the reasons for this are a brilliant backroom set up and also a brilliant readership. We might not all agree with each other but we are a passionate and knowledgeable crowd... If we were a paper we would be Le-Monde, The Melbourne Age and dare I say The Bootle Times.

To everyone — keep up the good work.

GOT have done two things really well: provided a popular forum beloved by its members; and cornered the social media aspect of being an Evertonian online. With the exception of news updates and articles, what Danny and Co are providing over there is very different to what's on offer here.

As such, I think it makes a good partner site to ToffeeWeb... although, in practical terms, that doesn't actually mean much apart from the posts feed we have on the homepage. GOT's association with TW isn't that popular with their more die-hard members which would preclude any deeper relationship, I suspect.

I think this site is the more "grown up" than most out there, and is always great for debating the more serious issues relating to the club. It can be a bit moany at times which forces me onto the vino, thank you!!

This is definitely the Everton site I go to for grown-up, mature Everton conversation. Sometimes the pessimists on here can be more vocal than the 'glass half-full' types, but at least the majority of it is well thought-out moaning.

Not really a fan of GOT. The so-called 'top poster' over there gets right on my tits. And a couple of the mods are right up their own arses.

TW gives me all I need in a Blues forum. Miles better than GOT.

Ben,

Thank you for the 'heads up'

Ste, thanks for the kind words pal. Honoured to be compared to TW.
