Anichebe could swap places with Rodallega

Victor Anichebe is again being linked with a move down the road to Wigan, this time trading places with Hugo Rodallega.

The Colombian striker is out of contract at the DW Stadium and is rumoured to be set for talks with Everton this weekend as David Moyes looks to add another free agent to his ranks this summer following the acquisition of Steven Naismith.

With Rodallega gone and Victor Moses the subject of interest from the likes of Chelsea, Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is in need of striking options and Anichebe is reportedly among his targets.

As a free agent, Rodallega would not be the key to any deal that would see Anichebe move to Wigan but the latter would command a fee that would help Moyes gather the funds needed to secure Steven Pienaar.

Although Anichebe was used effectively off the substitute's bench last season — indeed, he scored a valuable equaliser at the DW to secure a point for the Blues against Wigan — he has struggled to hold down a starting berth and a fresh challenge could be best for all parties.

At last - a glimmer of hope. I'd swap Rodallega any day for Vic, no offense to the lad. Hope it goes through and Big Vic does ok for them. (Am surprised that Martinez sees Anichebe as the answer to his problems!)

Jellavic, Naismith, Rodallega, Vellios - I'll take that as our strike force come the start of the season. Hopefully Jellavic can get 15-20 goals and the ohers all chip in with 5-10 a piece.

Rodallega's goals record isn't that cat hot, but he looks a better all round player than Big Vic. And less injury prone.

However as it isn't a swap, we'll probably still keep Anicehebe regardless.

What about we swap Victor and we can take Moses? Plus nick Rodders on a freebie... things would look very rosey.

The Mirror. Nuff said. Plus Martinez likes to play football.

Hang on, we swap Big Vic for someone who, though not top quality, is definitely a better option, AND bank money in the process which could help grease the wheels of Stevie P's return?!

Being as this is Everton, there's gotta be a fooking almighty catch somewhere!

Big Vic did well when he played last season scored a few, will be sad to see him go but he's not gonna get any better at this age..

Good luck Vic.

Maybe if we pulled in £3-6m for Vic we could tell those shady twats at Fenerbace to GO FUCK YOURSELVES!!

So if Vic and Rodallega swap places- can we expect to see Hugo Falling On his arse waving his arms round hopelessly out wide on the right?

How can they swap places if he is no longer with Wigan?
