Troy Parrott would certainly be an interesting option. He made a really good choice heading over to the Netherlands to learn how to be a better footballer in a good footballing side. The quality there is patchy but there are some outstanding players in that league – including his teammate Kees Smit – and it is a sophisticated / technical league too. He\'d be a different sort of option to Beto and the (in fairness improving) Barry. It\'s easy to get carried away with players doing well at international level though – with Premier League has beens Depay, Arnautovic and Kramaric all ahead of Parrott in the scoring charts. But still, his form in the Netherlands should earn him the chance of a step up even without the RoI heroics. He\'s probably just inflated his price tag above his true value but maybe a fee of about £20m to £25m would do it? ps. I still rate Evan Ferguson.

The obvious post, can we sign Parrot ? Well done boys BTW.

However much he might deserve it, he\'s got as much chance of winning that as Garner has of getting an England cap – fuck all – he plays for the wrong team.

I love his response to the miss. The ability to laugh at himself bespeaks confidence.

Here\'s more on Francis Okoronkwo, who has now scored his second goal on loan to Lincoln City: Against Doncaster Rovers, he scored the opening goal in a 2-1 victory. Okoronkwo guided a header into the net to give Lincoln the lead, setting the Imps on the road to victory. Imps manager Michael Skubala praised Okoronkwo after the final whistle, suggesting that he turned in an ‘amazing’ performance. Speaking to BBC Radio Lincolnshire, Skubala hailed Okoronkwo for an ‘excellent’ first-half display. Skubala highlighted Okoronkwo’s effort and work rate, but also his intelligence in the box as he scored a fine header. “I thought he was amazing today,” said Skubala. “He’s not had many starts, but I thought he was really good. “He’s a young lad, but his first half performance was excellent. What Frankie gives you is effort and work rate, but you saw his quality today, and you saw him getting across the front of people, and he took his goal very well,” he added. Okoronkwo had a golden chance to make it 2-0 as he was given an opportunity to slot the ball into an empty net.The Everton loanee contrived to fire the ball wide of the target, with Okoronkwo later telling BBC Radio Lincolnshire that his shot is a contender for ‘miss of the season’. “It could be miss of the season, but I’m just glad we got the three points,” said Okoronkwo as he laughed off his gaffe.
