Everton are back in the Capital for a Capital One Cup third round tie with Fulham just three days after their thrilling victory at West Ham on Saturday.

The Blues squeezed past League One Stevenage in the previous round, the winner only coming in extra time from the now-departed Marouane Fellaini but Roberto Martinez's side have improved significantly since, winning back-to-back games in the Premier League after the 0-0 draw in Cardiff.

Martin Col's Cottagers, meanwhile, have been struggling to find their rhythm since beating Sunderland on the opening day of the season. Their only victory since has been the League Cup second round win over Burton on penalties.

They've have a decent record against Everton at home in the Premier League era, though, and the last time the two sides met in cup competition on this ground, Fulham came out on top. However, the Blues have been improving at Craven Cottage in the last few years and have only lost on one of their last four visits, a 2-1 defeat in 2009-10.

Martinez has suggested he will again be making changes to his team, with Darron Gibson a potential starter after missing the first six games of the campaign with a knee injury.

Romelu Lukaku has been declared fit despite blacking out against West Ham following a clash of heads with a defender as he scored the winning goal but Leon Osman, who was withdrawn from that game after 52 minutes, is ruled out through injury.
