Everton February Fixtures Preview

Everton have been in a poor run of form in the Premier League over the past few months and they are currently second bottom in the table, two points adrift of safety.

As a result, manager Frank Lampard was recently dismissed. This could have a positive impact on the players who will be keen to impress the next permanent head coach.

Perhaps Frank Lampard will have more success at his next club, but Everton absolutely must get the next managerial appointment right if they are to survive this season.

Everton fans betting on their club might have become disheartened with the team’s results – and as such could find more joy in online gambling through BitCasino’sVIP offering, which holds special events for VIP players all over the world. Of course, nothing beats an Everton win, and we’re all hoping to see one next month.

The Toffees return to action on February 4 with a home meeting against league leaders Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s side are flying high at the moment but Goodison Park has not been a happy hunting ground for them lately.

Everton are unbeaten in the last four home meetings against the Gunners which includes an impressive 2-1 comeback win last term. Demarai Gray bagged the winner with a stellar strike from outside the box.

Hence, a positive result is not beyond the club’s reach. If they can make a quick start off the blocks, they could secure a hard-fought draw. Meanwhile, the Toffees should go into the Merseyside derby at Liverpool with a similar mindset.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are no longer the dominant side of the past. They have been unconvincing in every department this campaign and the Toffees should be optimistic of getting a point out of the Anfield trip.

They have registered three draws and one win in the last six meetings versus their arch-rivals. This has included a couple of goalless stalemates and it won’t come as a surprise if the upcoming derby ends in the same way.

After facing Arsenal and Liverpool, the Toffees will entertain Leeds United and Aston Villa on February 18 and 25 respectively. These are two games that the club ought to win if they want to jump out of the drop zone.

Leeds are one of the worst travellers in the Premier League this term, picking up just five points from nine games while conceding 19 goals. The Toffees must capitalise on their home advantage to beat Jesse Marsch’s side.

Against Villa, it could be a whole different challenge for the Toffees, considering the Midlands outfit have won their last three away games at Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.

Everton are winless in the last seven meetings against them with two points attained. If they can find momentum in the lead up to the encounter, there is a good chance that they can end the unwanted streak.
